Even though this wasn’t a deep read it was interesting, entertaining, and so very sweet! Sex scenes might have been a bit too graphic but overall an enjoyable and entertaining read.

Camille has a HUGE crush on Heath as a high school student. He was a popular high school football player and she was a yearbook photographer who was often mistaken as a boy. Camille, raised by her sports-loving father, was more of a tomboy vs a girly girl. During a football game, Heath mistakenly called her a "waterboy". She was so embarrassed, that she sought revenge by placing a compromising picture in the yearbook. Heath wasn't happy about it, but thought she showed some spunk. Years later, Camille gets the chance of a lifetime when she's asked to take pictures of a pro football team--Heath's team. She's a divorced, single mom and really could use the money. So she accepts the job. At first, Heath doesn't recognize her. He soon realizes that this is his "waterboy" all grown up. They soon find themselves falling for each other, but then Heath backs away saying she's a distraction and messing up his football career. Will Camille be able to forgive him again and let Heath into their lives? I loved this novel! It's the first in Virna DePaul's new sports series. Heath's interactions with Emma, a huge football fan herself, are heartwarming and sweet. It's HILLARIOUS when Heath and his football pals attend Emma's tea-pirate party and have to sit in chairs that are too small in order to have proper tea! One could also easily identify with Camille's insecurities due to her upbringing. Lastly, I thought that Heath's "gift" of the whistle back to Camille was endearing. I highly recommend this novel for any of the sports enthusiasts out there. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
